Mission Office/Montreal- Week 2
This week was wonderful working more in the office and getting to meet more members of the church here in Montreal. I have just been calling them over the phone obviously because we are still in the virus situation. I was surprised and touched to learn how many members of the church here are converts of a few years. Out of about the 100 or so members I have called, I can count on one hand the amount that said they had been longer in the church than 3 years. Additionally, these members are from all different places around the world. It is a testimony to me that we are all God's children and that one of the purposes of Jesus Christ's gospel is to unite the world and knit our hearts together in unity and love (Mosiah 18:21). This week I thought about and memorized what Daniel says to King Nebuchadnezzar in the Old Testament interpreting the king's dream.
" And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people , but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof is sure. " Daniel 2:44-45
