Mission Office/Montreal Week 3

Elder Brown and I have kept up running everyday which has been sweet. We bought a used dryer this week to replace an old one. The people in the store, for real, only spoke French so it was pretty fun. Other than that, the process went pretty smoothly. Another aspect of being in the office has just been that I hear everything that is going on in the mission and have to keep quiet about this and that. The Boyles left this week, Elder Boyle gave me this really nice Microsoft keyboard that is curved for better posture and a webcam to put on a computer.

We learned this week that there are 13, 000 US missionaries and 357 Canadian missionaries that will be reassigned. The hope is that these assignments are to their home countries. The office staff made guesses about how many missionaries we will get. Elder Brown said over 200, Sister Little said 150, and I said under 100. We will see. We were emailed from Salt Lake saying to rent cars and book hotels if we get more missionaries than we can take. So, I spent a lot of time looking at hotels around Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, and Halifax.

In other news, Elder Brown and I learned that we are going to become a trio with Elder Hindley who is finishing his mission at the end of this transfer so two or three weeks. He is the district leader and it should be really fun. Elder Hindley already spent a lot of time in the office because he is the 'tech' elder for the mission, helping sister Little with the car reports on how many kilometers driven and helping us with everyone's apartment inspections.

We have a ton of food because the Stewart's and Boyles gave us all the things they were leaving behind. This included cheesecake which is, of course, very exciting.

We also have three phones and SIM cards, one Montreal Ward, one for Corner Brook Newfoundland, and one for Housing coordinators. It made me wish I had no phone.

Something else we did this week was check the U Haul storage unit for the mission. I had no idea how much security went into U Haul storage. It felt pretty cool with all the doors and keypads like a spooky spy movie.

We still need to get matching ties as the office staff, just for fun.

The food picture is just a joke. We have acquired alot of pasta and related items and everyone knows my tendency to eat said products. But, I have actually lost 15 pounds in the past few weeks so no one can advise me against my eating habits.

The Book of Mormon is a project Sister Low wanted us to do. It just is scriptures that answer particular questions.
