Mission Office/Montreal- Week 12
This past Monday we opened a new apartment in St Hyacinthe Quebec. We decided not to rent an Uhaul truck but instead used 2 mini vans and a pickup truck. Elder Brown and got to ask some other Elders to come join us so it was a good time. Sister Little came with us too. We got pizza afterward. (Using one of the mission credit cards that I was given when I became an office Elder to carry around in my wallet)
Wednesday we drove a bed to Trois Riverea Quebec because there was going to be a trio there. It started as just a trip there but it slowly became much more as people started asking for mail or things from the office. We ended up going to Longueuil, St Hyacinthe, Drummondville, Victoriaville, and then finally Trios Riverea. It was fun to do a road trip.
Later, two new vans arrived so Elder Brown and I got to split up and each take one to tha Papineau chapel (Dad knows). It was nice to drive without the tracker (referred to as Tiwi) in the car.
Then, yesterday we had a 4th of July/ Canada day celebration with the office staff, the Lows and few other missionaries who were lucky to catch wind of it. We are hot dogs and poutine. President Low made homemade ice cream. He had mentioned in a zone conference that he often made ice cream for his grandchildren back home so I took the liberty of asking him more about it in my interview and so it led to us getting some fantastic homemade ice cream. Sister Low made a fruit pizza in the form of the American flag.
This week I also made that violin video in front of the temple that you saw. It was fun to make but also really made me wish I could use iMovie. It's just awkward to use a software I'm not used to.
Elder Tung left this week and took a selfie on my phone before he went to the airport.
