Mission Office/Montreal- Week 13

I enjoyed the fireside we had last Sunday with the Franconia Ward Youth. Elder Brown was surprised or confused about how little preparation I did. He said if it had been his ward, he would have studied and wrote notes everyday for a week beforehand. I thought about what I wanted to say in the shower.

Ever since we have been the office, we haven't been able to get a solid hold of this one guy, but we know he works in a grocery store, so every week we go to a different one hoping we will bump into him. I have found that I enjoy shopping for food. It has been rewarding to realize I can pick anything and that there's so many options. Anyways, this week we thought for sure we would find him because we found out the name of the store and he always posts pictures near the Olympic stadium so we found a store with that name near the stadium but we still didn't see him.

The ward here did a virtual tour of Nauvoo. The missionaries there offer twenty different tours for the various sites.

Instagram and Twitter are going to be allowed soon for missionaries here.

I like this famous scripture in 2 Nephi 26:33.
"For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile."

I realize the its famous because of its ending line of "all are alike unto God". I also like it for the very first line. I definitely agree that iniquity and sin do not come from God. Satan tries to confuse us about this as well. I think it also just reminds me of Isaiah 5:20 that says  Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness.... Things are also better for us when we look for the good in life and in people.
