Elder Pinkney responded to the following questions:
1. What do you remember about your baptism?
I remember the cake from my baptism.
2. Why are you grateful for the Plan of Salvation?
I grateful for the Plan of Salvation because it means I can be with you and everybody in the family forever.
3. What is your favorite hymn?
I really like one of Brother Deweys favorite, For All the Saints.
4. What was your experience with the Gratitude Challenge? Did you see any changes in your life or what benefits did you see?
I thought it was gr8 to participate in the #givethanks. I just feel there is power in following the prophet.
This week we went on two exchanges. For one of them, I thought I might get to go with my past companion Elder Brown, but I ended up going with his companion. It was still fun nometheless. The four of us went to a food bank - it is this enormous warehouse that outfits over 200 other food banks in Montreal. It is a pretty fun and busy place to be. All the other 200 organizations put in orders to this warehouse and so what we did was just make sure they get everything they ordered and load it on a blue palet. Some orders are bigger than others. We were going along and it was typically 6 of this, 3 or that and maybe 10 of this - and mind you this are fairly large and heavy this(s) and that(s) we are moving. Anyways, I went to go get a new order after finishing one and I read it and it went something like 37 of this 40 of that and 55 of that. My companion and I were a bit surprised but we did it.
Today I woke up and just started decluttering the apartment. Theres a lot of junk and just stuff that doesnt need to be here. I did alot but theres still more so I guess a bit by bit process. There is a whole set of old tires here for some reason - I did not remember them from a year ago.
Elder Pinkney also messaged a couple of other things to tell us through Facebook Messenger
Remebered some things I could tell you:
M is on date for batpism on July 3rd- he wanted time...
Someone we are teaching named, B is on date.
I have stayed in touch with Eduardo and he said he found the church in Peru. I got this address and was able to send his record over to the missionaries in Peru.
Oh yeah- a new missionary made us tuna casserole because we made him pizza pasta. It's how he gave the pan back. Another missioanry made us banana bread to give back our pan.
