Return to Riverside/Dows Lake- Week 1

A quote I love is from Kung Fu Panda

Elder Chin is a stellar guy. He played golf for BYU and has travelled a lot around playing in golf tournaments and from what I gather he frequently wins too. On top of that he flies planes and is a huge star wars fan and
took Astrophysics at BYU, so I feel pretty cool to have him as a companion. It seems like he looks up to me because I have been a missionary much longer but in reality he is two years older than me and has already been to college.

I have some pictures I will send later this week.

I feel like not a ton as happened... just lots of talking to people. Always always always tons of talking - it seems like that is all we do as missionaries.
It has been good to reconnect with some old friends from before and make new ones too.

Went to costco today - actually a very exciting thing to get into costco. Elder Chin just showed his card and we walked in. We got ice cream at the end.

Elder Chin also showed me how to golf. It was rough. I feel like I have tried so many new things in life, but have never actually mastered anything. It is the same process over and over as I keep trying new things. I am kinda excited for when I can just pick two or three things and just really excel at them like Elder Chin has: golf, planes, astrophysics. In the end, I was able to hit the ball pretty far. Golf requires a lot of form and stance and what not.

I also feel so relaxed honestly maybe because I do not have a position like the office or zone leader. President Low said all good for June 4th and to make my last two transfers the best and so far I would say it is going pretty well.

Lots of love,
Elder Pinkney
