Return to Riverside/Dows Lake- Week 6
The friend I talked about last week, Chris, is doing well. He said he was happy to be meeting with us three times a week for the past few weeks. He said it has helped him feel like he is progressing somewhere and getting closer to something which he couldn't put into words yet. That was a huge relief for us to hear. It was Elder Chin's last time because he is getting transferred to Montreal tomorrow, so they said goodbyes and we then we prayed adn hung up the call.
Elder Rigby is coming to be my companion again. When president posted the transfers on our facebook group, I was tempted to comment "Ready for round 3? @SteffenRigby" I guess it is really only 2 if you don't count the MTC but still pretty cool to be starting and ending this journey with the same companion.
I said I would help the one missionary mom you wrote about but I have not done it yet.
I started my journal all the way over because I felt dissatified with it. Ever since the new year, the only thing I would write was something I am grateful for to fulfiill the challenge that Dad gave us and before that, I wouldn't really write anything. So I started writing about MTC and my first transfer. I realized the reason I do not like jouranling is because I was not doing it my way. First change was I needed to type it because I been getting very tired and sweating hands from writing and just made the experience everyday unenjoyable. Second change was, I decided to write in third person and that helped alot because alot of what I want to write isn't about me. When I started, I was so excited I journaled for like 2 hours. I plan to finish before I come home but if not, I feel like its no pressure now I am can keep working on it for the next year every sunday or something like that. The benefit of typing it has been that when I remember more details I want to add in or when I want to improve the quality of my writing, it is very easy to do so. That being said, I am sure I can keep improving the quality but I know you would likely enjoy reading what I have written so far.
