Return to Riverside/Dows Lake- Week 8

This week we made a little violin duet video to post on Facebook. The other person playing family was one of the members in the YSA ward here. We played Jesu the Mans Joy Desiring by Bach.

I told you about Cs already. He is doing well. He been following the challenge to read the Book of Mormon so far. In the most recent lesson we were talking about people who are ignorant cant be held accountable to gospel standards. C's girlfriend then very boldly asserted that since Cs has been taught the gospel he is no longer ignorant and therefore things will not be in his favor at the judgement day if he now decides not to be baptized. My eyebrows raised slightly when I heard this. As to the truthfulness of her assertion, I can not say. The track record with YSA members with nonmember relationship was been either the nonmember gets baptized and then they get married, or the relationship goes sour and the nonmember drops the missionaries. It seems like despite any efforts on our part, the outcome is much more dependent on their relationship than anything we teach or anything any member says to him. In the unfortunate event the relationship does not work out, I think the only thing that could prevent him from dropping us is reading the Book of Mormon.
Anyways, just thought I would tell you all that.

Also had zone conference this week. It was my last one :) I got to bear my testimony.

The tulip festival is here but its not really a festival cause of COVID but at least there is plenty of tulips. I will get some pictures soon!
