Riverside/Dows Lake Week 3

So PDAY is actually today because tomorrow we are going to Montreal for a special zone conference consisting of five zones. Elder Wu and I get to stay with our past companions from last transfer (who are now companions), Elder Tung and Elder Rigby. I also know Elder Rigby from the MTC as he was my companion after Elder Thompson left. Hope that's not confusing to read at all.

Anyways the four of us spending the night together is just gonna be really fun!!!

Additionally, this past week the YSA had a temple trip. We obviously couldn't go bc it's in Montreal but you of the people we are teaching, the Jewish guy, went on the temple trip just to see the the visitor area (no visitor center tho) and walk around. We also called ahead and had him be met by Elder Rigby and Elder Tung (who have both previously taught this guy) and they went to the branch president of the mandarin branch's house along with a member from the YSA ward and ate and taught a lesson. The Jewish guy described it as the best day of his life. He actually also does calls with the salt lake sisters too. He is the guy who thinks deeply about a lot things and he is really smart too having taken math and physics. He have been meeting missionaries for a long time but he has come to accept Jesus Christ as the Savior and the Book of Mormon of the word of God despite his Jewish background. It seems like he has come to reason this through his thinking but hasn't really had a spiritual witness or there's something that is keeping him from being baptized and so that's where we're at with him right now. He knows lots of members and has been to a lot of activities.

And still working with the person we recently put on date. He got kicked out of where he was living so haven't had any progress with him this week.

Recently, a lot of people have been telling me that I should've brought my violin on my mission. And it makes me kinda mad because I don't like feeling like I missed any opportunities. But my companion and I had this idea that I could play Christmas songs at a bus or metro station and he could pass out light the world cards. I asked a few people we have visited if they have a violin I could use but no luck yet. I think it would be something cool if it could happen. Its worth trying but I don't know if I would've wanted to do the whole asking the mission president and taking it to the MTC and then Canada and then lugging it around at every transfer process.

Love you lots,
Elder Pinkney
